Great Grandfather and Arborist - Sam Proia

Sam Proia, a great grandfather of Jess and Jared Comolli, worked as an arborist and tree climber for the town of Newton, MA. He loved his job and worked hard to provide for his large family in the early part of the 20th century. He has been an inspiration to John, Jess, and Jared; not only as a family man and a talented arborist, but also as a strong and healthy individual, living to the ripe old age of 101. The picture below, which we think was taken sometime around 1910, demonstrates just how far back our family has been involved in the care of trees. We think Sam Proia would be proud to see us in action. Arboriculture is in our blood...
